Harold Lynn Hammond (89) was called home on March 14, 2018. Harold was born in Highland Park, MI and moved to Arizona upon his retirement. Harold is survived by his wife of 19 years, Wilma Hammond of Sun City, AZ; Son Darrell Hammond of Conifer, CO; Daughter, Dana Boram (Clint) of Tybee Island, GA; Son Steven Hammond (Ting) of Reno, NV; Step-daughter Rebecca Kress of Greensboro, NC; Step-daughter Teresa Sutton (Dave) of Kokomo, IN; Step-daughter Denise Lindquist (Mark) of Runnells, IA, Step-son Lance Schuessler (Sissy) of Monticello, FL; Step-daughter Jamie Geng (Robert) of Queen Creek, AZ; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 13 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Hammond; brother Robert Hammond; and his parents, Frank and Wilhelmina Hammond. Harold served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Michigan State University and worked as a Marketing Superintendent for Consumers Power in Michigan until his retirement. Harold had a boyish love of planes and was a pilot. He also loved music and singing and had the most beautiful tenor voice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday April 6, 2018 at 11am at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 10233 W. Peoria Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment will take place at a later time in Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold’s name can be made to St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church.
