Gordon F. Phillips of Sun City passed away on Dec. 1, 2006. He was born in Joplin, MO on Nov. 9, 1919, the son of Fred and Minnie Phillips. Surviving are Alice, his beloved wife for 61 years; sons, G. Edward, John Linda; granddaughters, Mary, Nicole and Jodi; grandsons, Eric and Chris; great grandchildren, Lyle, Wyatt, Cydney and Lisa. Gordon and Alice moved from Pittsburg, KS to Sun City in 1979 after he retired as a freight conductor for 38 years for the Kansas City Southern Railroad. Gordon very soon became a volunteer in the Sun City Posse and later at the Westside Food Bank. He was a WWII veteran and was a over 50 year member of the American Legion. Memberships were also held in the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Hi Twelve and the Shrine. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Memorials in Gordon
