Gordon Buchert

December 31, 1969 — May 3, 2017

Born 2-16-39 to 4-28-17, 78 years young, born in Oneonta, NY to parents, Paul S. Edna Mae. Married to Lorene Ann for 54 years. Survived by wife Lorene, 3 children, Jimmy, Denise Teixeira (husband Joe) Paul (wife Gabriela); 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He came to Arizona when stationed at Luke A.F.B as a mechanic in the US Air Force. Topped out as a Journeyman Electrician in 1969, he helped construct Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. He was a troubleshooter electrician finishing his career with the water department at the City of Phoenix. Other than his Family, his passion was building things out of wood, steel sheet metal. He was a great inventor and fabricator. He loved his hot rods and had several throughout his retirement years. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. sharp on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ. A celebration of his life to follow at 11527 N. 86th Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345.
