My love and beautiful partner passed into eternal life on August 3, 2013. Devoted wife, loving mother, dedicated daughter, and caring sister, Gina was taken from us much too soon. Gina is survived by her husband Brian, son Aaron, mother Josephine Rice, and brother Robert Troughton. Our unforgettable journey together began when you took a chance on a Navy man by accepting his proposal of marriage and subsequent nuptials at Niagara Falls in 1989. The following year we welcomed our bundle of joy. Her “Tinkers” was the joy of her life, always proud. Her closeness with her mother and brother was always of utmost importance to her, she so loved them. Gina primarily worked in the medical industry throughout her life which obviously provided her with the necessary experience and patience to deal with the antics of her “boys”. Our seasonal events fanned her passion and love for decorating and cooking. She always made the holiday season something special and will live in our hearts forever. We had only recently entered into our “retirement” years and began to embrace all the good things it entailed. Sharing coffee and watching the morning news, planning our day and eventually deciding to take a nap instead. Our “to do list” would have to wait until the next day. Gina always appreciated what a good life we led. You will always be remembered and never forgotten as we live to see you again. Banner Estrella, Del Webb Hospital and Good Samaritan- Phoenix must be commended for their compassion during this trying time. Gina always expressed her appreciation for the personal care she received during her stays especially at GSP-1st floor. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Carl T. Hayden VAMC/ Voluntary Dept (135) 650 E. Indian School Road - (602) 222-6419 Phoenix, Arizona 85012. Gina had a soft spot for U.S. Veterans. A remembrance celebration will be held in California for Gina by the immediate family.
