Geraldine Virt

90, of Youngtown, AZ passed away Sept. 26, 2013. Gerry was born in Brownstown, Illinois. She moved to Sun City in 1960 with her husband Rev. Harley Eugene Virt who was the first Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Sun City and Gerry was church organist. Harley preceded her in death in 2002 and her son Darrell Lee Virt also preceded her. Survivors include her children Kathryn Ubellacker, Shirley Warren and Carroll Virt; sister Shirley Jones; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 11019 W. Peoria Ave., Sun City, AZ. Gerry will be laid to rest with Harley at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Brownstown, Illinois. Donations in memory of Gerry are suggested to Lifestream Complete Senior Living, 11555 W. Peoria Ave., Youngtown, AZ  85363.
