Upon returning home he met and married Patricia Ann Renison Ells, from Westbury, NY and soon after had a son, Douglas. George leaves behind his sweet wife of 71 years, Patricia and his son, Douglas. Members of the Altieri and Dougherty Families, the extended families of; Christine and Dennis Monahan, Bette and Frank Fabyan, and Fendon and Jeanette Starr. The love, kindness and family unity shown was and has always been invaluable to my father, mother, and myself. We know and would like to remember friends and neighbors who are saddened at his passing.
At my father’s request and direction, there will be no service, no viewing. He will be cremated and placed at a veteran’s cemetery, with honors, to await his sweet wife’s arrival.
George was an honest, hardworking, true to his word, devoted husband, and father. He sat tall in the saddle, looked straight ahead, got it done. You are and will forever be missed. May the man up stairs bring you eternal peace and love. We’ll see ya when we get there.
