Genevieve Traver

TRAVER, GENEVIEVE J. 98, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2009 at Desert Winds Assisted Living in Peoria, Arizona. Genevieve was born on June 12, 1910 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She married Frank C. Traver on October 11, 1931. They raised their family in Waukesha, Wisconsin and moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1972. Genevieve was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church of Sun City where she was active in many church activities. She was proud to be member number one at Palmbrook Country Club and played golf until she was 92. Genevieve delivered meals on wheels for Boswell Hospital until she was 93. She was also a long time member of the Sun City Harmony Organ Club. Genevieve was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Traver Schnarr, and her husband of over fifty years, Frank. She is survived by her sons, Jon, of Monona, Wisconsin and Jerry, of Glendale, Arizona. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Genevieve was known and loved by many who enjoyed and appreciated the beautiful smile she had for everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Genevieve's memory to Lakeview United Methodist Church of Sun City, Arizona.
