Gary Wood

Gary L. Wood of Glendale, AZ died at the age of 69 on Monday, January 6th. He was born in Swartz Creek, MI and moved to AZ in 1986. Gary was active in the Church and St. Vincent de Paul. A lifelong carpenter, Gary retired in 2009 and his greatest pride was his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years Lynette and his four children; Dustin Wood (Lesley), Jeannie Wood, Andrea Reed (Richard), and Leslie Rocha (Anthony), his four grandchildren; Hannah, Audrey, Jonah, and Harper, his brothers; Bill Wood (Jan), Jerry Wood (Kathy), Al Wood (Monica), and Jim, his sisters in law; Joan Wood and Aggie Wood, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; John and Mary Wood, his sister Patti, and his brothers; Lester, Johnnie, Mark, and Rick. Gary has been cremated and a funeral Mass will be held on Jan 15th at 9:00am at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or to the Salvation Army.
