Gary Glass

Gary Wayne Glass, born June 2, 1948 in Akron, Ohio passed away suddenly Friday, October 14th, 2022. Gary came to Arizona when he was around 12 years old with his parents, Bruce and Theresa Glass, as well as his sisters and brother. Gary's parents predeceased him but he is survived by his wife/companion of 30 + years, Vickie Glass. Gary worked as a pipefitter out of local 469 and will be greatly missed by his fellow union brothers. If your pipes aren't straight, then the job isn't being done right!! Gary is also survived by his son James Glass, brother Greg Glass, and sisters Sandy Busselle, and Beckey Richison, plus a stepdaughter Machelle Cleghorn. Blessed with 3 grandchildren, Joshua (Lupita) Cleghorn, Marcus (Alyssa) Cleghorn, and Shawn Everett. He also has 4 great grandchildren, Delilah, Emma, Zoey, and Kason, along with 4 nieces and 1 nephew. His brother, Greg, has three children; Crystal with children (1 girl & 2 boys), Tiffany with children (4 girls & 1 boy), plus grandchildren (1 girl & 2 boys), and Greg with children (1 girl & 1 boy). His sister, Sandy, has one child with children (1 boy). His sister, Beckey, has one child, Kim with children (3 girls & 2 boys). Gary enjoyed the outdoors, and spent a lot of time camping, scuba diving, riding quads and motorcycles, hunting, and hiking. Gary was a member of the Maricopa County Sheriff's dive posse for a brief period of time, as well as teaching scuba diving for several years. His hiking, hunting, diving, camping, and especially his Kaboom buddies will miss his easy spirit and wonderful sense of humor. There will be a viewing at Menke Funeral and Cremation Center on Saturday 10-29-2022 between 11-2, and a celebration of life / luncheon immediately following at Gary and Vickie’s home.
