Gary Colbert

Gary Eugene Colbert, 80, of Peoria, AZ passed away March 25, 2018. Gary was born in Equality, IL. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and Law Enforcement retiree. As a military Police Officer at Luke Air Force Base during the early 1960's, he trained the first Luke AFB Honor Guard. He was preceded in death by wife Pauline Colbert in 2004. He is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Cindy Hock (Peter); grandson John T. Hock; step-children Charles Mekailek, Nancy Lien, Mary Baron, Michelle Sarver and 8 step-grandchildren and 9 step-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. with Rosary 7:PM on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla, Glendale, AZ. Interment to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona with full military honors provided by the Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard.
