Garnet P. Nash, 85, of Peoria, passed away on November 17, 2007. An exemplary wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she was born in Suttons Bay, Michigan on April 17, 1922 to parents Arthur & Mary Reincke Sanborn. She was preceded in death by her brother Glen Reincke, who she held in loving remembrance for nearly 70 years. It was during these early years in Leelanau County, MI when Garnet met her lifelong partner and husband, John L. Jack Nash. Jack and Garnet lived most of their adult lives in Grand Rapids, MI where Garnet worked for Lear Sigler now Smith Industries for 28 years as a skilled assembly worker. Upon retirement she and her husband moved to Peoria, AZ where they lived for over 25 years. Garnet is survived by her husband Jack, her son Ron Nash, and her grandson Dustin Nash, who were each helped immeasureably by her love and guidance. She is also survived by her sister Carol Nelson, niece Sharon Nelson, and nephew Randy Nelson who will all deeply miss her. Garnet enjoyed travel, eating out, shopping, was an avid fan of the Phoenix Suns and member of the Peoria Presbyterian Church. Garnet was generous, firm, detail oriented, fashionable, loving, appropriately reserved, humorous, open minded, and most of all, uniquely granted a gift of a moral compass that influenced everyone who knew her well. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2007 a visiting hour with the family at 9:00 AM at the Peoria Presbyterian Church, 10236 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria, AZ.
