Frances Metallo

December 31, 1969 — April 10, 2017

Frances Metallo passed away peacefully on April 6, 2017 surrounded by her granddaughter Debbie and Debbie’s husband John, listening to Elvis gospel oldies. Born on October 10th, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, Frances married her beloved husband Joseph Metallo. Together, their 70+ plus years of marriage was full of love and trust which produced a large family. She was a loving mother to Arthur Metallo and Janice Metallo, loving Grandmother to Debbie, Craig, Shawn, Cindy, Marna, Shane, Sandie, and Kurt. Frances had 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Frances enjoyed the simple things in life and always worked hard to support her family. As a practicing Catholic, Frances served her community through hospital visitations and shared her fabulous baking goods with everyone she knew. When it came to anniversaries, birthdays, or just to say I am thinking of you, she would place a card in the mail with two sticks of stripe gum just to say I love you. During the Christmas holidays you would get a goody box in the mail full of baked goods. I am sure each family member had a special bag marked just for them. These last few months have been a challenge for Frances. She battled many illnesses but refused to succumb until God called her home. Now she is with all of the family members that have passed before her and is basking in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Mom, Grandma, Aunt Frances, you will be sorely missed and never forgotten.  We love you. Funeral mass will be held at St. Joachim St. Anne Catholic Church at 10:00am on April 11, 2017, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City. Burial to follow at Sunland Memorial Park 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City.
