Floyd Stanley Perkey, 88 of Sun City West, our beloved Dad, Grandfather and Great Grandfather passed away on July 03, 2012. Stan was born on a farm near Burns Flat, Oklahoma on November 1, 1923 to Andrew and Ruth Perkey. He was the youngest of 3 children he graduated from Burns Flat high school and in 1944 married his sweet heart Janelle Reeves of Cordell, Oklahoma. They were married 52 years until her death in 1996. Stan served in the US army during WWII, Stan’s family and friends moved to Phoenix in 1955. In 1960 Stan opened Perkey's Paint and Body Shop in Glendale, AZ where he enjoyed working, socializing and serving his community during his 41 years in business. Stan also enjoyed a cabin in Payson, AZ where he loved to relax with family and friends, he also enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, playing guitar, mandolin; fiddle, banjo and traveling back to his home place in Oklahoma. Stan was always active in his churches he attended. Stan was preceded in death by his wives Janelle and Shirley; he is survived by his wife Dolores, his children Gary (Diane), LeeAnn (Russ), Mark (Laura), Dayla (Kevin), 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 11, 2012 at 9:00 a.m., Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd ave Sun City, AZ 85351.
