She was given the Interfaith Community Care’s First Volunteer Award in recognition of her 25 year commitment to Faith Community Care; and last spring, she was also given the Bill Wolfrey Community Service Award from Benevilla. In addition she taught bridge classes for many years. She was a Bridge Life Master, having obtained that distinction in 1980. She was still teaching until just a few weeks before her death. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Al Nehrenberg. Evelyn is survived by three children, Shirley Mahood (Chuck), Phoenix, Paul Nehrenberg (Donna), Haymarket, VA, and Linda Coughenour (Dean), Scottsdale, and her grandchildren Diana Shea (Tom), Phoenix, Wendy Mahood, Endicott, NY, Alyssa and Jonathan Coughenour, Scottsdale. Her service will be held in the chapel at Willowbrook United Methodist Church, 19390 N. 99th Avenue, Sun City, 85373 on Saturday, May 5, at 11am, with a light lunch reception to follow. Contributions in her memory may be made to Benevilla, 16752 N. Greasewood Street, Surprise, AZ. 85374.
