Evelyn Cummings

Evelyn M. Cummings, passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2023. She was born on January 10th, 1928 in Sheridan, Illinois. She was preceded in the death by her daughter Rhonda and Husband Earl in 2017 also her parents and many relatives and friends. She attended beauty college after high school graduation in 1945. She became a beauty operator in 1946. She also married her husband Earl in 1946 as well. They lived in Sheridan, Illinois for the next 14 years having a son and daughter. In 1960 they moved to Mesa, Arizona. Evelyn worked for many beauty shops and owned four of her own shops throughout her career. She ran the Rose-Mar Beauty College in Mesa from 1963-1969. In 2000 Evelyn and her husband moved to Sun City, Arizona where she volunteered for 22 years at the Sun City Recreation Centers. Evelyn did hair for 63 years before retiring. Evelyn was and is a loving wife and mother in all her years. Evelyn is survived by her son Robert and many other relatives. Her ashes will be placed at the National Memorial Cemetery along with her husband Earl. 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
