Evelyn Borders

Evelyn M. Borders nee Czajka, age 81, of Sun City Arizona., formerly of Chicago Illinois passed away on Feb. 4, 2009. Beloved wife of Harley Borders; loving mother of Harley Sharon Borders, Joanne Baity, Steven Dorothy Borders, Pamela Stanley Buskus, Michael Lorrie Borders, Joyce Borders, Nancy John McKenna, Carol Thomas Novak Borders. Dearest grandmother of 16 grandchildren Elizabeth, Geoffrey, Timothy, Steven, Tara, Nicole, Eric, Andrew, Jason, Jacob, Rebecca, Meloney, Stephanie, Jennifer, Sean, Bradley; and great-grandmother of Morgan. Fond sister of Dr. John Shirley Czajka; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews and dear friend to many. Evelyn was a graduate of Loyola University School of Nursing in Chicago. After her nursing career and raising 8 children, she was employed with the U.S. Government Bureau of Census in Chicago. Evelyn was an active member in The Polish American Club of Arizona, El Mirage Senior Center, St. Elizabeth Seton Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. with vigil service at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 Palmeras Dr., Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to American Diabetes's Association.
