Eugene Kucharski

Eugene L. Kucharski December 15, 1922 - February 22, 2018 Eugene L. Kucharski, 95, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018 in Sun City, Arizona. Gene was born to Jacob Martin and Victoria (Bienko) Kucharski on December 15, 1922, in Chicago (Hegewisch) Illinois. Gene graduated from Bowen High School in 1941, then went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army from January 1943, to January 1946. Upon returning home, Gene went to work for Chicago Bridge and Iron. On September 15, 1947, Gene married Jeanette (Nina) Zajac. In the summer of 1960, Gene and Nina moved their family to Phoenix, Arizona. Nina passed away on February 2, 1969. Gene then married Helen Ellis, and they enjoyed many years together until Helen’s passing on January 3, 2013. While in Phoenix, Gene worked for Garland Steel, and then Cypress Steel as the Chief Estimator, eventually retiring in 1985. Upon retirement, Gene and Helen moved to Sun City, where they would spend their remining years. Services will be held on Friday, June 1 at 10:00 am at St Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.
