Emily Frances Anderson, “Mickey”, age 84. She was born June 14, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. Sister to Lucille, Geraldine and John. She married Ronald Edward Anderson on January 19th, 1952. They resided in Chicago and moved to Buffalo Grove, IL, in 1962. They had three children, Ronald John, Michael Leon, and Beth Ann. Mickey stayed home and raised her children until going back to work around 1968. She drove a school bus for a few years. She finished her working years at Palatine High School working as a hall monitor until 1990. She and her husband Lefty retired and moved to sunny Phoenix, Arizona, in 1991 to enjoy their golden years. Mickey was an avid traveler. She went on many cruises and visited many of the United States. She went to London with her daughter Beth. She was interested in genealogy. She found her family in Slovakia and visited there with sister Gerry. She and husband Lefty went on a bucket list trip to Yellowstone National Park in 2012. She was great cook and enjoyed a good meal. She enjoyed socializing and keeping in touch with her family. After back surgery 2009, she was unable to walk without assistance. She used a walker for a few years, and then used a motorized wheelchair. She suffered a minor stroke in 2014. Even though her disabilities slowed her down, they couldn’t stop her. She was one tough cookie! Her husband Lefty was her primary caregiver, with help from family, until her death. He was a wonderful, caring husband to his wife of 66 years. She is survived by her husband Lefty, son Ron, daughter Beth. She had 10 grandchildren: Jeremiah, Zachariah, Tabatha, Joshua, Jason, Martin, Daniel, Justine, Collin and Kendra. She had 6 great-grandchildren: Jason, Cherilyn, Johnny, Jessie, Isaiah, Abel and one on the way. She also has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Anna and Leon Napientek, brother John, and son Michael. She missed Mike very much since his death in 2013. She passed away March 11, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by her beloved family.
