Ellen (Savavella) Smith

Ellen (Savanella) Smith passed away peacefully June 21, 2016 in Gilbert, AZ. She was born in Torrington, CT on December 5, 1936 to Margaret & James Savanella. Survived by her sister Peggy (Ken) Grimm, brother James (Catherine) Savanella, son Paul (Barbara) Sokolik, step-son Michael (Barbara Ann) Smith, step-daughter Cindy (Mark) Rosenberg, 11 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Wallace Smith, and beloved son Michael Sokolik. Ellen loved her career as a travel agent which let her travel the world. She enjoyed playing tennis, genealogy research, reading, and animals. Special thanks to the loving, caring staff at Shady Pines Care Home in Gilbert and Hospice of the Valley.
