Eleanor Ferency-Lucyk

January 11, 1929 — January 11, 2025

Cave Creek

Our loving mother, Eleanor Ruth Ferency-Lucyk, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

She grew up on Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, and lived in Robinson Township for many years before moving to Florida.  In 2003 she moved to Arizona where she lived her retirement years and to be near her children. She loved animals and was a supporter of many charities including the Humane Society and ASPCA (American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

She faced various challenges over the years, however, she was a strong-willed woman and always felt "if you are strong you can always conquer life" which was her legacy. Her biggest accomplishments were raising her three children and their success.

Born on January 11, 1929, and one of four children and daughter of Joseph Ferency and Mary Ferency, she is predeceased in death by her parents and brothers John Ferency, Ernest Ferency, and Alfred Ferency, and her loving husband, Nicholas S. Lucyk, Sr. She is survived by her three beautiful children Nicholas S. Lucyk, Jr. of Anthem, Arizona, (Chris O'Connell), Karen A. Schiedermayer (Scott) of Appleton, Wisconsin, Patricia L. Finn (Kevin) of Cave Creek, Arizona, granddaughter Kelly Schiedermayer (Kraig Van Groll) of Appleton, Wisconsin, and her loving companion, Wayne Kelsey of Sun City West, Arizona.

We would like to thank The Vi at Silverstone, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, Arizona, and their staff for the exceptional care that was given to our mother.

A graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Coraopolis, PA, in June 2025. The time and final date are to be determined.
