Elaine Billings

Elaine R. Billings, 81, of Surprise, AZ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 5, after a lengthy illness. Elaine was born in Nanticoke to the late Gordon and the late Helyn (Warner) Knorr. She attended Fairview Elementary and Fairview High School in Mountain Top, PA. She resided in Mountain Top and eventually Oakwood Park, Laflin, before moving to the Phoenix, AZ, area in 1979. She was employed in the purchasing dept of the former RCA, Mountain Top; Sears, Wyoming Valley Mall; Freed's Furniture in Sun City, AZ; and at Bank of America in Phoenix, AZ. For 26 years, she was the caretaker for her mother. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helyn Knorr, on June 20, 2018. She is survived by her son, Brian Billings of Surprise, AZ, and daughter, Lynn Mancini of Plains Twp, PA, four grandchildren and one great grandchild, sister, Judith BeHage, Pittsburgh,PA, nephews and nieces. She was an accomplished pianist and was devoted to her family and friends. Elaine was a fantastic cook and a talented home decorator. A private service was held in Sun City, Ariz.
