Eileen Offenhauser

88, of Sun City, AZ, passed on comfortably in her home in Sun City surrounded by her loving family and caregivers on May 12, 2012. Born to the late James D. Clark and Harriet Thorneberry Clark, February 28, 1924 in Barnesville, Ohio. Eileen graduated from East Cleveland’s Shaw High School in January, 1942. She married Robert Allen Offenhauser on May 2, 1943 and they lived together for most of her life in Flint, Michigan where they raised their family. After retirement Eileen and Robert divided their time between Sun City, AZ and their summer cottage on Lake Bellaire in Michigan. Eileen retired from the Buick Motor Division in 1986. Eileen was an active member of the Christian Science Church. She loved to travel and took many cruise trips with her husband Robert. She loved to read, play bridge, Scrabble, play double solitaire, and she never passed on viewing a good western movie. She was a wonderful mother and a fun loving person. She always had a smile and a positive word to say. Eileen is survived by her husband Robert; four children: Robert Offenhauser and Jeffrey Offenhauser of Fort Myers, FL; Timothy Offenhauser of Harbor Springs, MI; and Deborah Offenhauser of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Brooke Biltimier, Erin Offenhauser, Kammer and Skyler Offenhauser and three great grandchildren. Interment will be in Cleveland, Ohio; a memorial service will be held at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, Thursday May 17, 2012 10:30 A.M. in Sun City.
