Edward James Wick, 84, of Surprise, Arizona passed away, at home, on January 15, 2021. Preceded in death by is father, Gustav Wick and mother, Lucille Schlosser Wick. Also preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Foughty Wick, of nearly 30 years.
Ed was born in Hennepin County, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in Fergus Falls, Minnesota where he enjoyed “peddling sausage” with his father. Ed joined the U. S. Army in 1957 and served for two years as a payroll clerk. He moved to Arizona with his first wife, Pat. They had no children. Ed married his second wife, Mary Shannon, in 1974. They had a daughter, Jennifer. In the 1980’s, he relocated to California where he met his third wife, Colleen. They had a son, Taylor.
Ed was an avid golfer for many years. Dogs were an important part of his life, with German Shepherds being his favorite breed. He also enjoyed watching sports throughout the year, with baseball, football and golf being among his favorites.
Edward is survived by a daughter, Jennifer, a son, Taylor and four step-children – Fred, Theresa, Paul and Christina, one grandson and sixteen step-grandchildren.
Ed had been battling cancer for the past two years and passed away under hospice care with Fred and Diane by his side.
