Edith Kerlin

Edith (Darby) Kerlin, 96, passed away from an apparent heart attack June 17, 2014. Edith was born in Freeport, IL April 17, 1918. She worked at Micro Switch for 35 years, retiring in 1978 and moved to Arizona in 1984. She worked part time as a volunteer at Boswell Hospital and Sun Valley Lodge. She was preceded in death by husband’s Ed Darby and Ralph Kerlin, daughter Shirley and son-in-law John Spedding and son-in-law John Owens. She is survived by her daughter Phyllis (John) King of Sun City, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. with memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 9849 N. 105th Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351. In lieu of flowers donations to either Hospice of the Valley or First United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
