Dwane Mikelson

MIKELSON, Dwane Gail Dwane G. (Mike) Mikelson, 96 of Sun City, AZ peacefully passed away at “Hospice of the Valley” in Surprise, AZ on June 6, 2020. He survived his wife, Joan P. Mikelson whom he was married to for 63 yrs and their eldest son, Jeffrey C. Dwane is survived by his soul mate, Evie Guthrie, sister, Carol Sheler, son, Scott T. Mikelson, daughter, Ann M. Collins, spouses, grand-children and great grand-children. Known by all that knew him as a true GENTLE-MAN, Dwane was a WW2 Veteran and spent his free time enjoying golf, sports, investment strategy, traveling and helping others through the Stephens Ministry. Dwane’s work achievements, never ending devotion to God and his life of service to others will always be the beacon of light of which his family will always follow. A celebration of life was held June 7th at his member church, Faith Presbyterian. Presided over by Mike and Sheryl Campbell whose family and church showed unwavering support for Dwane during his last months on earth. His ashes will be laid to rest in The Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln, NE. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to, Faith Presbyterian Church in Sun City, AZ or Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, AZ.
