Dorothea Stevens

Dorothea Stevens, 87 years old of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, May 11th, 2011. She was born in Elgin, Illinois on November 22, 1923 as Dorothea Plote. Formerly known as Dorothea Thies, she raised her family in Elgin, Illinois and later retired to Sun City, Arizona where she was married to her husband of 28 years, John Stevens. She is survived by her loving husband, John and his son J.C.; her sister, Bernice Plote; son, David Thies : grandchildren Michelle Kuethe (Thies), David Thies, Ryan Thies and Jeff Pierce: and great- grandchildren Brendon Thies, John Kuethe, Sara Thies, Matthew Kuethe and Anthony Scardina. Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Monday, May 16th, 2011 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ.
