Donald Vobach

Donald E.Vobach, born February 7, 1935 to Walter and Alberta Vobach, passed away January 10, 2009. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Sandy, two sons David and Paul of Phoenix and four grandchildren, Adkin Vobach of Lenexa, Kansas, Ryann, Tate, and Alec Vobach all of Topeka, Kansas. A son Jon preceded him in death in 1975. Don was a member of the Local Carpenter Union for over 25 years. Casson Construction Company employed him for about 21 years in Topeka and Denver, Colorado. Don supervised the building of several commercial buildings in Topeka, Kansas University, Kansas State and Washburn. He also built several commercial structures in the Denver area. After he retired to the Phoenix area he was a realtor for Jerry Jackson Realty in Sun City. Don was an avid golfer, loyal Kansas Jayhawk fan and member of American Legion Post 62. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Post 62. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the American Legion Post #62, 9847 W. Desert Cove Ave., Peoria, AZ. Menke Funeral & Cremation Center is handling arrangements.
