Domingo "Chico" Ramirez, born on January 6, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, passed away on November 23, 2024 in Sun City, Arizona. He lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, service, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Chico proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20+ years, demonstrating his commitment to his country. His military service was distinguished by numerous letters of appreciation from fellow service members and the families he touched throughout his career. Chico's dedication to service extended beyond his military life, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Chico was a beloved member of his community and the local Episcopal church in Sun City. His vibrant personality shone through in many aspects of his life, particularly in his love for karaoke, which brought joy not only to him but to those around him. He also cherished the time spent playing golf and bowling, activities that reflected his love for camaraderie and friendly competition. In his younger years, Chico enjoyed playing softball and football, showcasing his athletic spirit and zest for life.

He is survived by his loving children, Louis Ramirez, Leonard Ramirez, Leila Nethercott, Andrew Ramirez, and Leandra Ramirez, who carry forward his values of kindness and generosity. Chico is also survived by the mother(s) of his children, Maggie Villareal, Linda Mattingly and Cathy Ramirez. Chico is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Frances Ramirez, who provided him with the foundation of love and support that shaped the man he became.

Chico's journey on this earth may have come to a close, but his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. A visitation will be held on December 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both taking place at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center in Sun City, Arizona. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, allowing for a final farewell to a remarkable man.
