On July 10, 2021 Dianne Lorraine Berkholtz at the young age of 89 went home to our Lord. She was born March 24, 1932 in Fresno, California. She is survived by her daughter Karen (nee Bowden) Young and her husband Wil, sons Tim Bowden and his wife Kymie and John Bowden. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren Michelle Gordon, Rachael Schmidt, Jacob Bowden and Sarah Bowden, and 5 great grandchildren namely Cierra Gordon, Reid Gordon, Katie Schmidt, Ashton Schmidt and Hurley Schmidt.
Dianne began her life in Fresno, California and after some years of moving around with her husband’s job they finally settled in Phoenix Arizona in 1952. She had her first son, Michael, now deceased, in 1951 in California and the rest of her children were born in Phoenix. She made Phoenix her home until 1988 when she moved to Prescott and lived 16 years. In 2014 she moved back to Phoenix to be with family. Dianne is best known as someone who had a deep abiding faith, a passion for the Lord and a relentless amount of wisdom gained from not only her life experiences but also from her relationship with the Lord. She loved knitting and crocheting and spent countless hours making beautiful pieces with her craft. She enjoyed spending time with family but gathered her strength in solitude and time in prayer.
There is just so much to share about Dianne and the impact she had on her family and friends, the legacy she has left for us all. As a friend, as a mother, as a grandmother, she leaves a void in our lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her well but we can find comfort in that she is finally where she has always wanted to be in this life, resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
