Diane was one of twin daughters (Diane and Donna) born to James Elmer and Mable Grace Henderson. While in high school she met and fell in love with the love of her life Arthur McSorley who preceded her in death. Art and Diane were married November 20th, 1954. After graduating high school, she attended nursing school and graduated from nurses training in Milwaukee to become an RN on May 6th, 1955. In 1955 Art and Diane moved to Phoenix. She was a nurse at Maricopa County and Maryvale hospitals in Phoenix and was also a nurse and social services worker at Glendale Community Hospital. Art and Diane started a family and raised five sons. Mickey McSorley, Tim and Mark McSorley, Jamie Ray McSorley and Terry McSorley. She had 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Nothing made her happier in life than being a wife, mother, and grandmother and having her home filled with people and delicious food. The one thing that everyone in her life would say is that Diane was simply one of the kindest human beings to grace this Earth. The legacy she leaves for all of us is to love your family, work hard, and let the people in your life know you love them.
