Daniel Roy Ramey, 91, was born February 7, 1926, in Pike County, KY, and went to be with his Lord and Saviour January 8, 2018, in Sun City, AZ. A celebration of Dan's life will be held on Monday, January 22 at 2PM at Grace Bible Church, 19280 N. 99th Ave., Sun City, AZ 85373. Dan served our country for 20 years in the United States Navy. Upon his retirement, he pursued a second career working for the Government for 11 more years. In 1981, he opened his own business with his wife Joyce along with partners Bob and Rosemary Lambie. Quality Maintenance Service flourished and when Dan and Bob were ready to "retire" again, the company was sold. After Dan's wife passed away, he was fortunate enough to find love again, and married Lynda Phillips Sanich in 1995. Dan was passionate about helping people, young and old, encouraging and counseling them to be the best they could be! In his final retirement years he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, marshalling and perfecting his game (two "holes-in-one"), shuffleboard, cards, serving on the Missions Council, Elder Board, and co-chair of Samaritan's Purse shoe box ministry for 12 years at church ("when the doors were open, he was there!"). Dan Ramey is survived by his wife Lynda, daughters Pam (Bob) Lambie, Sandy Paul, Lynda's sons, Kirk (Stephanie) Sanich, Christian (Angie) Sanich, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law Byron (Flo) Connor. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Dan may be made to Grace Bible Church, Missions Fund. Condolences and words of comfort may be shared at www.menkefuneralhome.com
