Clara Catherine Muldner. Born Clara Catherine to Wensell and Jennie Herman on July 6, 1902 in Lynch, NE. Died June 22, 2008, just two weeks shy of her 106th birthday. Her family moved to Phoenix from Washington state and were on the train passing San Francisco at the time of the 1906 earthquake, which Clara remembered. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School May 28, 1921 and married Carl Conrad Muldner on June 11, 1921 in Florence, AZ. Carl preceded her in death in 1957. They had eight children, five who preceded her in death include Clara O'Neil, Carl Jr., Gus, Barbara Larson, and Jimmy Muldner. Her three surviving children are Mary Lou Squires, Marie Johnson and Tommy Muldner. Clara had 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and 2 great, great, great grandchildren. She joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1934 where she held many different positions including treasurer for 35+ years and Community Services Leader and worker for over 60 years, which included making quilts until over the age of 100. She worked in the family trucking business as business manager until the age of 87 until her eyesight forced her to retire. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M., on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Church, 6801 N. 43rd Ave., Phoenix, Arizona.
