Carla Best

Carla Lea Klemm Best (92) went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2019. Carla was born on April 5, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Gladys Sell Klemm and Carl Klemm, who died a few months before she was born. After High School, Carla attended Ripon College in Wisconsin, then proceeded to secretarial school and held several jobs as a secretary. She married her High School sweetheart Donald Best in April of 1949 and had two daughters: Pamela and Jennifer. Carla was a skillful homemaker, nurturing mother and dear friend. She was a faithful prayer warrior and trusted confidant. She was active in many Christian women’s groups where she befriended and mentored others, and mirrored Christ’s love. Carla was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived and deeply loved by her husband of 70 years, Donald Best, her two daughters and their husbands, Greg and Pamela Wilburn, and Gus and Jennifer Nopoulos, three grandchildren, Jared, Taryn, and Alexandra, and four great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, November 19, at Grace Bible Church, 19280 North 99th Avenue, Sun City AZ.
