Camilla Cornelia Willems, (Age 82) passed away on December 9, 2017. Cammy was born on the island of Java, Indonesia where she lived with her parents and 5 siblings until the mid 1940s, when the family immigrated to the Netherlands. During the following years Cammy lived in Deventer with the family enjoying art dance, and touring Europe by bike. Her adventurous, yet soft spoken nature, led the family to immigrate to the US in 1960. The new family of three having had her daughter (Alide) 10 days earlier boarded a ship for the US and eventually arrived in California. They added their son, Micheal, to the family three years later. Through the years and a number of moves throughout California and Arizona, she found time to raise the kids, manage a house, volunteer, and eventually become a teacher. For over 30 years, she had the incredible patience to embrace and teach Pre K and Kindergarten. In retirement she enjoyed her life in Sun City, taking her walks, visiting with friends, and her time at the pool. Cammy is survived by son Micheal and his wife Carrie, and their sons Alec and Zach and daughter Taylor; daughter M. Alide Willems Mason and her husband Charlie Mason, and their daughter Camareese. Cammy is also survived by her brothers Stefanus and Jan, sister Albertine and her husband Nono, and nieces and nephews Farley, Janine, June, Gwen, Robin, Nicole and many grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by mother Maria, father Alfonds, brother Leo, and sister Ineke. Services will be held Monday, December 18th at 10:00 am at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351 followed immediately by burial at West Resthaven Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave. Glendale AZ 85301.
