Beverly Ann Ottman

Beverly Ann Ottman born June 1, 1942 in Salem Ohio parents Mr. Wilford Raymond Smith & Mrs. Marcella Agnes Smith.  Beverly Attended Villa Maria, a Catholic Boarding High School. 

Beverly's faith grew through daily prayers, rosary devotion, and regular communion service led by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. 

Beverly met her husband of 58 years, Thomas Achilles Ottman, Sr., at a high school dance. 

Beverly attained her LPN (licensed practical nurse) degree at Hannah E. Mullins Practical School of Nursing in Salem, Ohio.

Beverly and Thomas have two children: Thomas Achilles Ottman, Jr. and Marcella Elizabeth Groom.

They have 2 grandchildren: Christen Marissa Fouts and Dillon James Groom. 3 great children: Andrew Thomas Fouts-Groom, Sage Nightinggale Fouts, Niklaus Achilles Fouts. 

Beverly's brothers: Mr. Joseph Barry Smith preceded Beverly in death, Dr. Wayne C. Smith, and Mr. Maurice J. Smith

Beverly donated her talents and time as an Eucharistic Minister and volunteer with St. Mary's foodbank after moving to Phoenix Arizona in 1987.  Beverly enjoyed cooking, baking and hostessing family and friends who visited Arizona from Ohio, and Pennsylvania and other places. 

Beverly and Thomas retired to Sun City West and were parishioner's at St Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Sun City. 

Thomas preceded Beverly in death.  Beverly spent her final years at the Right Care Assisted Living Home in Vistancia, Arizona.  Thanks to owners, Edyta and her husband, Matthew along with their dedicated caregivers and Hospice team made her time there pleasant.  Beverly's children were with her when she passed.

The Rite of Committal will be celebrated on April 1,2024 at 10:30 am graveside at Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery at 23015 N Cave Creek Rd. PHX, AZ 85024

A funeral mass will be celebrated in Beverly and Thomas' honor in July 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish thanks to friends & parishioners Mr. and Mrs. Phil Schroder.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be on held on Sunday April 21,2024 at 11:00 am at 19814 N 146th Way Sun City West AZ 85375-5727

Menke Mortuary has assisted family in Beverly's final arrangements.
