Betty Lou Williams, born August 31, 1929 in Ludington, Michigan to Bob and Luella Cater, passed away August 31, 2018 in Sun City, Arizona at the age of 89. Betty was a nursing student in Chicago, where she cared for and fell in love with her soon to be husband John Williams. She married John and they raised two sons, Darrell and Gary. Betty loved working in the yard and being outdoors. She worked part-time while her children were in school, starting at Littlefuse in Des Plaines, Illinois and devoted much time to supporting her two sons in Scouting. Betty enjoyed needlepoint and crafts and was active in church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Williams, in 2004, her three brothers, Richard Cater, William Cater and Eugene Cater. She is survived by her sons Darrell Williams (Catherine) of Colorado Springs, and Gary Williams (Janet) of Carlsbad, California, and grandson Matthew and granddaughter Elizabeth. Also, Godson Daniel Makara in Uniontown, Ohio. Donations may be made to Savior Hospice & Palliative Care of Phoenix, Arizona or the Sun City Christian Church.
