Betty Coffey

Betty J. Coffey of Sun City AZ passed away on Friday April 8th at the age of 82. Betty was an only child born and raised in Illinois. In the 1950s Betty and her mother moved to Los Angeles in search of employment and a better life. She found both in a career with Western Union and finding her soul mate James Coffey. Following their marriage in 1957 they transferred to San Francisco Bay area where they both lived and worked together for over 30 years. They enjoyed 10 years of retirement in Kentucky, until Betty's mother passed away. Betty and Jim then spent the last 22 years in Sun City AZ. Betty dedicated her last few years to caring for Jim, her one true love, and now follows him to their great reward. Betty's charming smile, friendly manner, and warm hospitality will be missed by both friends and family. A memorial service for both James and Betty Coffey will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011 at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, Arizona.
