Died on August 11, 2016, in Sun City, Arizona. She was 91. Bethel led an eventful, full life. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado to George and Gladys Bush. She married her life-long sweetheart, Ardath Emmons when she was 19 and they were together seventy years. She was an accomplished pilot, gourmet cook, golfer and mother of five children. She received her masters degree in 1963 and went on to teach at Stephens College in Columbia. She loved to travel and had a deep interest in history and art. In 1985, Beth and Ardath moved to Arizona and lived there for thirty years. They were both active members in the church and community and true examples of the Greatest Generation. She will be greatly missed by her children and friends. Bethel is survived by her five children, Larry, Craig, Chris, Kari and Wendy; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
