Bebe Montgomery

On Thursday, September 3, 2020, Bebe Jean Montgomery passed away peacefully in her home in Sun City West, AZ. Jean was born on September 19, 1926, in Deer Creek, OK to Helen and Merble Bachman. She graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1944 and from Abilene Christian College in 1950. Jean was proud of her teaching certification and her time as a teacher in Deer Creek and Tulsa, OK. She met Robert (“Bob”) Milton Montgomery in Tulsa, marrying him on May 29, 1952. Jean served for several years as a substitute teacher in Hacienda Heights, California, while raising their two children, Robert and Marilyn. She served with Bob in the La Habra, CA Church of Christ and later the West Olive, AZ Church of Christ for many years. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bob, in 2012. She is survived by her children, Marilyn and Robert, and numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled for her at a later date.
