88, passed away peacefully at her home in Sun City, Arizona on April 10, 2013. Beatrice was born in West Bend, Wisconsin. She was the ninth child in a family of twelve. She married Walter Lund in 1945. Beatrice and Walter resided in Seattle, WA for numerous years, and also resided in southern California during the early part of their marriage. Walter and Beatrice had four children. Many people benefited in the Seattle area due to Beatrice’s generous donations over the years to the Puget Sound Blood Center. In Seattle, Beatrice volunteered at Denny Jr. High as a nurse’s aide. Beatrice was an excellent nurse’s aide and enjoyed her volunteer work there. Her involvement (at the state capital) was instrumental in the implementation of scoliosis screening across all junior high schools in Washington state. Beatrice was a devoted wife, caring mother and fun-loving grandmother. She is survived by husband Walter and her daughters Diana Oberti and Deborah Lund and grandchildren Darren Wright, Jeffrey Jasper and Angela Oberti. She is also survived by sisters Carol Becker and Judith Puestow-Pelka. Beatrice was preceded in death by her son Raymond Lund and her daughter Ruth Lund Wright. A memorial service will be held at the All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church in Sun City on May 11, 2013 at 11 AM.
