Barbara Stirnes

of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on January 6, 2013. She was born on December 4, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Glendale, Arizona in 1969 with her husband Jim and her 4 children Robert, Roxanne, Barbara and Jamie. Barbara worked in the medical field as a Nurse Practitioner and Physicians Assistant. The love she had for her patients brought her much happiness. After her retirement she bought the bar and restaurant in Crown King, Arizona. Barbara was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her 4 children Robert, Roxanne, Barbara and Jamie; their spouses, Mo and Carol; her sister, Joanne Gallagher. Her beloved grandchildren, Kathy, Heather, Candace, Jett, Corey, Jimmy, Manny, Stone, Tyler and Cody and her great grandchildren, Kyle, Cheyenne, Liam, Gwynn and the twins Marley and Hudson. Visitation 5-7 p.m. with Rosary 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Funeral mass 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church, 19640 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix, AZ.
