Athena Marie Van-Y

Ms. Athena Marie Van-Y “Nina” died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 in Peoria, Arizona at the age of 39. Athena is survived by her mother, Patricia Anne Van-Y (Tyra) of Peoria Arizona, brothers Mark Alonzo Van-Y II of Phoenix, Arizona and Aric Reid Van-Y of Tolleson, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her father, Mark Alonzo Van-Y of Peoria, Arizona. Athena was born on February 3rd, 1979. at the Naval Base located in Groton, Connecticut to Mark and Patricia Van-Y. Shortly thereafter, she and her family moved to Midland, Michigan. She later relocated with her family to Peoria, Arizona. Athena spent some time living in Las Vegas, Nevada but eventually moved back to Peoria, Arizona. She graduated from Peoria High School in 1997. A private service will be held at Menke Funeral Home.
