Arthur Weller

December 31, 1969 — September 8, 2015

Arthur Carl Weller passed away peacefully September 4, 2015 at home. He is survived by his two sons, David (& daughter-in-law Debbie) & Randy, 7 granddaughters and 23 great grandchildren. Carl blessed every life he touched. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, friend and spiritual mentor and will be joyously remembered in the “true stories” that will be told for years to come. Carl was born in Butler, Illinois on June 28, 1921, and married his high school sweetheart Eileen Gester. He served his country in WWII as a communication specialist. He worked as a “Dime Store” manager, a Chief Clerk and Payroll officer at the Hanna Coal Company near Cadiz, Ohio, and he and Eileen managed their own hometown dime store in Bethesda, Ohio. He was active in Bethesda Christian Church and Rotary. They moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1982. Carl volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in El Mirage and for The First Christian Church of Sun City. Eileen passed away in 2002 after they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Carl later married a good friend, who was also widowed, Dorothy Campbell, and they shared life and fun experiences together for 11 years. Memorial Service - Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N 103rd Ave, Sun City, Thursday September 10, 5:00pm.
