Armando Silva Rubal of Sun City, AZ, 76, passed away early on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Born August 27, 1946, Armando was a devoted husband, step-father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Born and raised in Batuc, Mexico, Armando enjoyed fishing, farming, and working on his family's ranch, developing an affinity for horses. As a young man, he spent much of his time traveling throughout the southwest as an agricultural worker, enjoying the freedom and experiences his love for traveling afforded him before meeting his future wife and permanently settling in Arizona.
So great was his love for his wife that he devoted the next 42 years to being by her side, including as her coworker as a maintenance professional for the Phoenix Union School District, for 12 years. His greatest joy was his family, and he was a loving husband, proud step-father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, reveling in his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Armando is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Rubal and Rosaura Silva.
He is survived by his wife Jesusa Rubal; his step-children Violeta Vega (Jose Jr.), Lino Juarez (Kathy/Kathleen), and Jesusa Clark (John); his step-grandchildren Lee Juarez (Tiann), Regina Collins (Daniel), Jose Vega III, John Clark Jr. (Ruby), Yoshio Juarez (Luciana), Clemente Vega (Stephanie), Jacob Clark (Marie), Pierre Juarez (Jessica), Kaleen Juarez, and O'Brian Vega; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
