Arlan Spykerman

Arlan (Spike) Spykerman , was born and raised in NW Iowa by parents, Charles and Celia Spykerman. Arlan’s wife, Sharlene (Van Beek) also grew up in NW Iowa and they married in 1963 and moved to Arizona. With the exception of 1966-1968, when they were in the Army, their entire married life was spent in Arizona. A daughter, Sonja (Kevin Swier), was born to them in 1969 and a son, Darin (Jenn), was born in 1972.  There are three grand children. Sonja’s daughter, Michaelah, married to Jeremiah Johnson of Lawrence, Kansas and Darin’s daughter, Kyra, and son, Trevor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014, or any charity of your choice. Services will be held at West Valley Christian Fellowship Church, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00pm. 12649 N. 105th Ave (corner of Grand 105th).
