Anne was born in Martinsville, Indiana on Feb. 20, 1920, where she was one of 5 children. Anne lived in the same town in Indiana until moving to Arizona in 1972 with her husband, Gene Goss who passed away in 1988. Anne worked for several years at Unidynamics, and made many friends in the area. She was active in the Scottsdale Sweet Adeline's, loved to sing, play bridge, paint, and was devoted to her family. Fortunately, a lot of her family had also moved to Arizona, giving her a sense of roots here. She leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ron Phillips in Sun City, a granddaughter, Sue Baldwin in Glendale, and one great granddaughter and even a great-great granddaughter, also in Glendale! She is preceded in death by a younger sister, Barbara Chappelear, in St. Louis. Anne's life was filled with happy times. She always had a smile on her face, and made sure everyone felt welcome around her. Her last few years were spent at the Thunderbird Retirement Resort and later in the Country View Estates. Anne passed away on August 23, 2008. She will join her husband at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Services are private.
