Ann Cloud Neumeister passed away Dec. 6, 2008. Ann was born Oct. 5, 1914 in Houston, Texas and lived most of her early life with her father, Ralph Cloud, her mother, Anna Allen Cloud, and her two sisters, Virginia and Martha. She attended and graduated from Austin High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She married Roger Stevens Neumeister on Halloween, 1942. Roger had graduated from West Point, and, after they were married, Ann lived in Austin while Roger served in Europe in World War II. After Roger returned from Europe, they lived in Boston for 2 years, then at West Point for 3 years where she served as a Girl Scout leader and during which time she bore a son, Steven. They moved on to Aberdeen, Maryland in 1951 and spent 4 years there before Roger resigned his commission and went to work for Honeywell. They moved to Minnesota in 1955 and lived in Minneapolis briefly before settling in Edina, where they lived until Roger retired in 1983. She was a wonderful wife and mother, not only to Roger and Steve, but also served as a mother to Stellan, a Swedish foreign student who lived with them for a year during high school. After Roger retired in 1983 they moved to Sun City, Arizona to live in the warmth and away from the snow and cold. Ann's church was very important to her all her life. While in Minnesota she was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, and in Sun City was a member of the Sun City Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Roger S. Neumeister of Sun City, her son, Steven A. Neumeister of Oakland, Maine, and her grandchildren, Blake J. Neumeister and Lindsey A. Neumeister both of Oakland, Maine.
