Amy Hsu of Sun City West, AZ died Sept. 29, 2012 after a battle with lung cancer. Amy was born in Taiwan on Aug. 18, 1941. She received an undergraduate degree from National Chung Hsing University and a master’s degree from The University of Georgia, both in Horticulture. She was an avid traveler who had visited six continents and was also a devoted supporter of the arts. She was active in the Sun City West community where she participated in numerous activities through The Recreation Centers of Sun City West as well as life-long learning classes at RISE (jazzercise, art, music, nature, financial literacy, architecture, etc.). She was survived by her two sons, Justin Chung of San Francisco, CA and Willy Chung of Waltham, MA. A memorial reception will be held 1:30–4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at Menke’s Sun City Room, 10307 W. Coggins Dr., Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the MD Anderson Cancer Center and designated for lung cancer research, The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, or Channel 8 KAET Phoenix Arizona Public Broadcast System.
