Alice Filipek

Alice Mary (nee Mulica) Filipek passed away quietly on Monday, July 18, 2011 in Goodyear, Arizona after a brief illness. She was 95 years old. Born in Amherst, Ohio July 2, 1916, met and married John Filipek in 1937 and raised her family in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband John, who died in 2000, older brother Constantine "Sam" Mulica and younger brother Edward "Ed" Mulica. She leaves behind her daughters Patricia Ann (James) Ritchey of Litchfield Park, Arizona, Judith Ellen (Roger) Ecker of Alameda, California, and Margaret Louise Dylag of Vancouver, Washington. Alice was the grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 10. Grandchildren are Jeffrey (Caiti) Ritchey of Huntington Beach, California, Kevin (Sue) Ritchey of Torrance, California, Laurel Stokes of Vancouver, Washington, Kim (Michael) Schlieman of Sacramento, California and Scott (Erin) Dylag of Beaverton, Oregon. Great grandchildren are Grace, James and Colleen Ritchey, Matthew and Garrett Ritchey, Alyssa Stokes, Maggie and Olivia Schlieman, Audrey and Adam Dylag. Numerous nieces, nephews and their families live in the Olmsted Falls area. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3 at 10 AM.
