Alice Barber

Alice Naomi Barber, 92, of Sun City passed away on September 15, 2016 in Glendale at her care home after a long struggle with Parkinson Disease. She was born on August 25, 1924 in Lorain, Ohio and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, John Barber, who passed away in 1988. Alice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Lois Barber and her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Gary Case; her 5 grandchildren: DeNeen Becker, John Case, Daniel Barber, Jennifer Kennedy, and Megan Tolley; and her 9 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Alissa, Berkley, Dylan, Delaney, Kaelan, Grady, Keegan, and Maisy. Alice was a charter member of Christ’s Church of the Valley and spent many years volunteering at the church and attending Sam’s Class, her Sunday school class. She also volunteered for over 20 years at Banner Thunderbird (Samaritan) Hospital. Her joy in life was being with her family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Christ's Church of the Valley, 7007 W. Happy Valley Rd., Peoria, Arizona.
